Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about our mobile foot care services across West Sussex.

Which areas do you cover?

We offer home visits within a 30-mile radius of Rustington and Arundel, covering towns and villages across West Sussex. Care home group bookings can be arranged in a wider area by prior agreement.

What should I expect during my first home visit?

Your first appointment includes an initial assessment, a discussion of your foot health concerns and an appropriate treatment. We will review your medical history and assess your feet before recommending a suitable care plan.

Are you qualified and insured?

Yes. Our foot health practitioners have completed professional foot health training and hold appropriate insurance to provide treatments within their scope of practice.

Do I need to prepare anything before you arrive?

All you need is a comfortable place to sit, preferably with good lighting. We bring the sterile instruments, towels and treatment materials needed for your appointment.

What treatments do you offer?

We provide a range of foot health treatments, including nail cutting and filing, thickened nail reduction, hard skin and callus reduction, corn care, cracked heel care and advice on maintaining healthy feet. Other concerns, including fungal nail infections and verrucae, can be assessed for appropriate treatment or referral.

How much does an appointment cost?

Our initial home visit is £65, which includes your initial assessment and appropriate treatment. Subsequent appointments are £50 per visit.

How do I book an appointment?

You can contact us by telephone, email or through our website enquiry form. We will discuss your needs and arrange a convenient appointment.

How often should I have my feet treated?

This depends on your individual foot health, medical history and treatment needs. Some clients benefit from appointments every 4–6 weeks, while others may need visits less frequently. We can recommend a suitable interval following your assessment.

Can you visit care homes or sheltered housing?

Yes. We welcome enquiries from care homes, sheltered housing providers and other organisations. Group visits can be arranged, with wider-area bookings available by prior agreement.

Do you provide foot care for older people or those with limited mobility?

Yes. Our mobile service is designed to make foot care more accessible for people who find travelling difficult, including older adults and those with limited mobility. We assess each client’s needs and work within our professional scope of practice.

Can you treat painful corns, hard skin and thickened toenails?

Yes, where appropriate. We can assess and provide suitable treatment for corns, callus and thickened nails. If a problem requires medical assessment or treatment outside our scope, we will recommend referral to the appropriate healthcare professional.

What if I have diabetes or poor circulation?

Please let us know when booking. We will consider your medical history and assess whether treatment is appropriate within our scope of practice. Where specialist assessment or care is required, we will advise you to contact your GP or the appropriate healthcare professional.

Can you treat fungal nail infections or verrucae?

We can assess the affected area and discuss suitable options within our scope of practice. Some conditions may require confirmation of the diagnosis or referral to a GP or another healthcare professional before treatment.

Do you bring your own equipment?

Yes. We bring the necessary professional instruments and treatment supplies to your home. Instruments are appropriately cleaned, sterilised and handled in accordance with infection prevention and control procedures.

What happens if you cannot treat my foot problem?

Your safety is our priority. If your symptoms suggest an underlying medical condition or require care beyond our professional scope, we will explain our concerns and recommend appropriate onward assessment or referral.

Do you offer appointments at weekends?

Please contact us to ask about availability. We will do our best to arrange a suitable appointment.

Can I book regular appointments?

Absolutely. If you would benefit from ongoing foot care, we can discuss a suitable treatment schedule based on your individual needs.

How can I find out more?
